Meet R & M Crafts

We are located in Tampa, FL, home of historic Ybor City (pronounced "E-bore"). It's a city within a city that boasts of old Spanish Charm. Local residents fondly refer to Ybor City as "Cigar City."

In the old days hundreds of workers labored in various cigar factories hand rolling cigars. If I'm not mistaken some still do, but generally for the benefit of tourists.

If you ever visit Tampa be sure to explore Ybor City. I'm certain you'll love it because much of the old Spanish charm is still preserved within its boundries. And while you are here be sure to visit our pal Mickey at Walt Disney World in Orlando. It's only about a one hour drive from Tampa and one of our favorite destinations. Since we are still kids at heart we love going there when ever we can.

We have lived in Tampa for more than 35 years and nearly consider ourselves natives. While our domain name is "cigarcityarts.com," our business has absolutely nothing to do with cigars.

Our art is expressed in fabric and thread. We own and operate a full fledged embroidery business from our home. Our web site opened in April 2004 allowing us to provide our services to both local residents and our friends on the World Wide Web.

Our core business is divided into two main parts. Part one is our original embroidery designs. In an effort to bring you a wide variety of unique embroidery designs we purchase both exclusive and semi-exclusive art from many different sources for digitizing. We manually digitize all of the designs we offer and each one of them is fully tested on one or more of our machines before being released for sale. Most of our digitizing is done in Generations, but we do own other digitizing programs as well.

All throughout our site you'll find examples of the quality work we do. Most of our embroidery designs are for sale, but some are not. Some we create for special projects or for our own use, but we do occasionally put them on display.

Part two of our business focuses on custom made and embroidered dust covers for printers, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment. We are constantly striving to expand our line of stock cover designs, but we also receive many requests for custom orders that are made to exact customer specifications. Literally hundreds of our dust covers are protecting equipment worldwide.
